About Mary Margaret Land Curtis

I have been a PEI Artist for nearly 25 years.Through my paintings I hope to empower people to believe in the gift of themselves. That's ultimately what my paintings are about. They are meditations about life and my experiences. My style, detail, and trade-mark "torn-edge" effect, makes my work truly unique. The Originals and Reproductions have a "dream-like" quality are matted with museum quality acid free matt and the Inspiration for each comes on the back. My work is available through this website or through my Studio by appointment .

I earned a degree in Biology from the University of Guelph and worked in the early 1980's as a Botanical Illustrator at the University. My love and interest in flowers is reflected in many of my paintings. Teaching Art classes and Workshops are ways of empowering others to believe in their own possibilities, creatively and otherwise.

Teaching Art for over 20 years continues to be a highlight my life. Mary and her husband Grant live in Charlottetown with a standard poodle named Charlie.
