Welcome to Curtland Studio, featuring the art of Prince Edward Island artist Mary Margaret Land Curtis (featured in West Jet's Up magazine).
To mark Canada’s sesquicentennial, in the years leading up to the jubilee, Mary Curtis created a collection called: The Flowers of Canada - A Celebration of Canadian Unity. The set featured 14 watercolour paintings and prose reflections representing the floral emblem of each province and territory along with a painting entitled “Canadian Unity.” The collection travelled across the country with the tour kicking off at the PEI Legislative Assembly in July 2011, and ending in Ottawa in 2014.
“Each provincial and territorial flower conveys its own unique character, and together they represent the best of Canada,” said Mary. “It is my hope that this exhibit will serve to inspire and re-energize Canadians as they reflect on these values we share as the community of Canada.”
"My work is inspired through my spirituality, reflection, and deep connection with Life. "
Many have found Mary's original paintings and reproductions to be unique, exquisite, and inspirational...
